Hi - I've had my house re-rendered and I need to paint it. Any advice on the best approach and paint to use would be much appreciated.

I'm thinking about using Johnstone's Stormshield Pliolite and watering the first coat down with some white spirit - assuming maybe 20% WS and 80% paint.

Would this be a good approach?

Thanks!

How long has the render had to dry out? Pliolite should not be used if there is more than 8% moisture in the render. If you choose to use water based masonry paint ,it's not really advisable this time of year with the cold, best wait until springtime if you go down that route.

I use water based masonry paint and sprayed it on , only took a day and a half to do front rear and flank of E.O.T.
Added 10% water to thin and a dollop of pva to each tin.

It's only had a week so far so will probably leave it at least another week...

I thought about getting a spraying tool - will look into it

Thanks guys
