part p- replacing like for like, kitchen gas hob

am i thinking i don't need a certificate? As far as i can tell i don't (and can read about) - just had mine replaced and concerned it's done right.

It was literally replacing like with like: gas hob with ignition button to gas hob with push button ignition

just needed some comfort :)

How does it connect to the electric supply? Did you have to do any work on the fixed electrical wiring?
 
ooh i'm not sure as i didn't see the guys changing it, the old hob def has a green/yellow electric wire with white plastic bits on the end. (i.e. it's obv not a plug socket. the new hob also came with an electric wire attached.

does this mean anything?

Most hobs I fit come with just the bare wire. They could have put a plug on it, or wired it into a switched fused spur.

Have you got you gas certificate from CORGI yet? All gas appliances must be notified to them. Were your installers registered for gas hobs?
