Hi all

I'm planning to sort out my back yard by laying some nice stone or slate paving but need som advice on how to actually do it. At the moment it's 70% concrete and 30% gravel (with mud under it) and has 2 or 3 drain covers. My questions are:
- how do i smash out the concrete without damaging the drainage under the yard
- what tools / equipment do i need
- how do i prepare the ground (making sure the incline point away from house)
- how do i lay the paving - i'm thinking of something like this (http://direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=206-3811)

Cheers
Rich

Can't get the link, but you need a breaker(with a chisel bit) for the concrete slab.
You can hire them, something like a kango 900/950 will do it. Normally 110v so you will need a transformer too.
All I can say about the drains is be careful.
for patio laying visit the paving expert site will give you some good advice.
