Anyone know of a junction box (context is domestic lighting circuit) that allows for 'permanent' mechanical joins so that requirement 513.1 (joins readily accessible for inspection) doesn't have to be met.

I guess that I could (mis) use a resin-fill joint kit in this way and comply under 526.3 (ii), but wondered if anyone knows of something that is more appropriate.. for one reason or another making it accessible isn't desirable.

A properly crimped or soldered connection need not be accessible for inspection. Filling the enclosure with resin is a little OTT.
