petrol hedge cutters

l have petrol hedge cutters but l also have 7/8 foot hedges so l have to use step ladders which is very hard to manage on uneven ground. A nyway l have heard that you can now buy petrol hedge cutters on a pole to cut at differcult heights and angles but l dont know where you can buy this item.Has anyone on here any idea where l can buy this hedge cutter on a pole.

depends on what you want to spend. Most of the petrol ones come as part of multi systems, where you buy the motor head and then can add a strimmer, hedge cutter etc. The decent makes such as Stihl will set you back somewhere in teh region of £500-£800 dependent on what attachmenst and size of motor unit you buy. Viking (the cheaper version of stihl) do one for around £350. I think there are now electric versions coming on the market as well. They are heavy to use and titing. It takes a bit of practice to get used to them as well.
