Peugeot 208 passenger seat stuck

My daughter has an issue with her Peugeot 208 2016 3 door hatc. The front passenger seat is stuck in the folded position. I have not seen it yet as she is away but is back tomorrow. Any ideas and fixes for this would be appreciated.

Believe it or nota good sousing with WD40 or similar where the seat back hooks on to is all that's needed.......you may need to shift some of the seat side trim to get in there though.

It's possible for the steel linkage of a folding seat to bend if someone pushes it with great force.

If something was left on the seat, bag etc , when folded it would make it difficult to release as it applies pressure to the catch.

Thanks for all replies. Tried everything and stuck solid. I’ve ordered a new seat from scrapyard.
