Photos coming out sideways?

I've noticed just recently that some of my photos are coming out sideways when taken from the photo album on my iPad and put into a post. Can’t just be me as I have noticed photos posted by some others are sideways too. The only way I can correct it is by deleting the photo from my post, going back to the original photo on my iPad and just cropping it slightly then saving it.

What’s going on?

They display the correct way around on iPad gallery?
Have you locked the screen rotation on iPad or phone? That may mess it up as well.
If you want you can randomly DM some photos to test to see if you can work out what's going on.
Wasn't the server swapped here recently? Or maybe a server update had altered things. I've had trouble myself over the years but everything seems ok.
I'll try taking photos now for interest to see what happens

Yep, they display correctly in photo gallery on iPad and screen rotation lock isn’t on. As I said, just editing the photos by slightly cropping any side from the original, saving and then posting cures it.

I'm clutching straws here. I'm not a apple user.
Are you uploading the original photo?
If you view and use a photo from iCloud that can have the exif data removed.
You can have device photos or cloud photos. Make sure you select device photos in gallery.
That's all I can think of.

Thing is, I’m doing nothing different from what I’ve been doing since the day I joined 8 years ago. Uploading photos from my iPad or iPhone gallery. They are all the right way up in my galleries. Once uploaded, some are sideways, some are upside down, some are the right way up. Any slight cropping corrects the up,oad though.
