Physics question 2

Having a birthday party id guess. I said wasn't right to taunt you but you said you were proud. So that's fair game

I remember that the guy in Space 1999 looked like Trevor Brooking.

Do you mean Commander Koenig ? The actor Martin Landau?
My oldest grandson goes to an independent school sponsored by him and Rocco Forte.

Well nobody has picked up on the salient issues here so let me throw a few out there.

First, the Moon doesn't revolve around the Earth. They revolve around each other with the point of rotation somewhere in between (Joe will now be frantically googling to find out what it's called, it sounds Eastern European so he won't like it one bit). If you remove the Moon, the Earth suddenly gets more than a little out of kilter and the result will be quite violent.

Second. The moon/earth is a system with respect to the sun. Remove the Moon and the whole orbit of the earth is more than a little out of kilter. The result would be quite violent.

Third. We have the law of conservation of angular momentum to consider. Remove the moon and the earth has no alternative than to do a little jig and a dance which will be rather violent.

While some are wondering whether the tides will drop over the next six hours, I'm wondering whether the crust of the Earth will melt or whether the Earth will stay in one piece.

But i suppose I look at it in a different way cos I'm stoooopid lol

Not forgetting that , as gravity works all ways, It will throw the sun a smidgen out of kilter and before we know it, the Earth will be headed for regions unknown. As will the rest of the solar system.

Anyway, my oldest grandson goes to Landau Forte College , here in Derby, so I'm sure he'll know exactly what happens, should all of these space shenannigans happen.

Calling somebody a knobhead is not the same as calling them stupid.
In my eyes a knobhead could be a person who tries to show on an internet forum that he's somehow superior to other posters. As you tried to do yesterday with joe, and have just tried to again by answering questions that hadn't been asked.
Ergo, you're a knobhead.

I'm not superior, I just had a training in science to a level higher than most.

Plenty of things I'm rubbish at, but science is one of my strengths. And I get that wrong sometimes too.

Why not persuade us you are good at something instead of just trying to put people down?

Joe can look after himself, when he goes round irritating people then it's no surprise that he gets irritated back.

I don't feel the need to persuade anyone that I'm good at anything.

Well that's up to you. Suppose that means you will never get a decent job as you will not perform well at interview. But up to you

I could have phrased it better I suppose but my reply was specifically aimed at your childish request.

You say what you like sooey, doesn't bother me, speaking from your heart reveals your character.

I starting to think you're one of these young kids who doesn't think they need to prove anything and the world owes them everything. I see you're from Merseyside eh  Joe doesn't like people like that, he'd not want somebody like you defending him, he'd want to be your boss and that's something I don't think you'd like at all
