I'll be installing a lot of them, hopefully starting monday. I'll post a pic when I do.

They're not hard, they just clip in, like Starbreaker MCB's, connect the neutral into the first Neutral bar and don't forget to connect the functional earth.

Test as you would any other RCD device and then ensure that the test button on the unit itself works.

Remember everyone, that you need to sleeve white earth cables on RCDs with green and yellow sleeving!

No No NO!!!

You must NOT sleve the white wire.

It is a functional earth, NOT a CPC.

in the top pic, did you twirl the excess blue round your big screwdriver? Why not just cut it shorter?

MK RCBOs come with the curly neutral lead.

Merlin Gerin and Square D KQ RCBOs have curly leads too.

Some come with just a small g/y tag on though, I always fit about 2 inch of sleeving.
I am sure i have seen some with g/y earth wires fitted though.

I've never seen an RCD or RCBO fitted with a G/Y earth

Can you remember what it says on that little tab?

Here's a clue ;)

Stop fitting sleeving to them

This is an old mk , maybe the colour regs have changed since, I know a majority now have white and often wondered why,

Been a while now but sure the tags i have seen had no writing on, just green / yellow .
Would have been merlin gerin

Maybe your right, I will reconsider sleeving them now
