Reminds me of a site we used to work at. There were ducts under the floor of the building that were regular haunts for adders. You thought twice about shoving a cable through a duct, pulling up the next access point and groping around under the floor to find the end of your cable 
At least they keep the mouse population in check, so there isnt so much rodent damage to cables.
