Screw the socket to the chip and cover the single insulation and job's a good 'un!
You don't need to fuse down as the socket is likely to pull maximum 26A, the CCC of the cable.

The socket is not correctly IP rated for the environment, you can tell because the screws have gone rusty.

Does a 100A BS1361 fuse provide short-circuit protection for 2.5mm² and 0.4s disconnection time ?
