Fabric-covered, rubber insulated singles, running down drawn conduit.

Are those PVC singles extending from the older cable or tapped into them?

I can't tell...

Is it cable...or conduit....

Oh, my eyes are awful!

The VIRs have been extended with PVC singles using screwits for the join.

This was all plastered into the wall and all live.

There was also live lead cabling in the house, and no earth at all...

It's singles in slip jointed oval conduit.

Can't see the screwits. Are they at the bottom of the picture, wrapped in tape? Or is that some ancient twin cable/lead twin cable?

Great picture btw.

Was this some attempt to move the light switch?

Is that a tube in the middle that goes all the way down to the floor?

Does this mean that at last - the house is going to get redecorated? (after the complete rewire).
