So that SuffolkSilver can remove the coal placement diagram from his website (Which is worth a look at), I've copied it to my album on this site so it can be seen directly from here.

Sorry for bumping this up, I've tried but I can't edit an old post on this thread #28 which had a link to the diagram below. I've tried the obvious (reporting it). I'm sure this same picture was there, and I didn't remove it but here it is below.

As I told the last person who messaged me, (after I uploaded it again but couldn't edit the old post):

No problem, I can't edit the old post (it's too old) but I've asked a mod about it. If you have any worries about the old gas fire, resurrect the thread or start a new forum question. You might get people telling you to get someone registered in to check it, or get a C0 monitor, or check the ventilation etc. among the more useful replies. I've never had much to do with open gas fires, please stay safe
