Planner missed email, now wants withdrawal of application

All that needs to happen is that a new 28 day consultation is carried out under this application. But in the meantime, the report and process can continue so that as soon as the consultation is finished, the decision can be issued.

But the onus is on the applicant to make sure the application is correct, not the council to check emails.

He wants me to withdraw the application though....

Hmmm..he is to speak to his manager and get back to me

The consultation period is 21, not 28 days.

If the Planning department are willing to agree to an extension of time, then a 4 week extension should be enough to deal with the slight re-worded application and finalise their report. It’s not as if consultee’s haven’t already seen the proposals and so would have already expressed any concerns.

Some LPA’s are more accommodating than others so the ball is really in their court.

So he has agreed to reconsult but no need to withdraw app, thanks for input here guys
