Thanks for all the replies, and the detailed info.

After I posted my last reply, it occurred to me that I could get round my reason for wanting to use 10mm instead of 15mm by using 15mm plastic instead of copper - even easier to feed through holes in joists. Trouble is I'm traditional by nature, and doing Central Heating in plastic just doesn't seem right. Any views on copper versus plastic ?

I dont like plastic tube.

But if it was a question of using 15 mm plastic or 10 mm copper ( which would not carry the power required ) then its obvious which is the one to use!
