Please, Please get your gas appliances checked

I know money is tight, but please get your gas appliances checked. I went to a no heating or hot water call and found this.

The outside had been rendered last summer and all the vents had been rendered over. The owner had been suffering from headaches.

That was me , first thing I checked was integrity of flue incase of blockage, pointless putting the smoke bomb under the heat exchanger.

Yeah but you get more satisfaction doing these than room sealed appliances.

Or could get a carbon monoxide alarm, that would give a good indication that you may die sooner or later if you dont get your gas appliance sorted.

A greater number of home-owners die from CO poisoning in their homes than tenants
and older people are more likely to be suffering as they seem less likely to get their gas appliances checked.

Michele I hope you reported this so the idiots who covered up the flue terminals can be found. It is not so much that they should be prosecuted as they need to be stopped so they don't do it again.

You can bet this isn't the own house they've made dangerous - they could kill someone.
