Plug change on MP3 player?

My Step Daughter has just com back from Spain with an MP4 player bought there.

Is the voltage the same in the UK?
and
Can I simply cut off the EU plug and rplace it with a 3 pin UK one?

What does it say on the mains adapter, is there something like 100-240v AC?

spain is supposed to be 230v ac 50 hz

the voltage will be fine.

before you cut anything off though make sure it is just a plug and not some kind of wall wart.

if in doubt post a picture

If its a big black cube or a small black cube (lol) or says something like

pri: 100-250v 50Hz
sec: 4.5v 300mA DC

or similar markings indicating a primary and secondary, and input and output,

DO NOT CUT IT OFF!!!!
