ok, god this is like pulling teeth. 1 foot of required diameter £21. OMFGG!

John was right, costly and a 4-6 week lead time, most bizarre!!

Update: Right this is ridiculous.. unobtainable seemingly, so time for lateral thinking. Ordered some HIPS sheets, will glue (weld) together, then use a hole saw to fabricate a rod... What a palaver!

Hells bells Eddie, there must be an easier way :(
I think drilling the HIPS will cause a bit of welding as you drill, but see how it goes.
    John :)

Well I'm all ears for suggestions, but I've been going round and round in circles. Only solution I can see that doesn't cost a fortune is full fab.

What is it you are actually doing?
Can you post a pic of the broken bits?

Maybe I'll post it in my projects one day.. but for now it sort of at the experimental stage. I'll give you a taster though , it's a model kit car (it's a long and boring story) but it's being made box art style, which means a few mods that are a bit complicated (new fabrications for light pods, getting custom made bits, getting them chromed, possibly the most difficult paint job ever) That with not having enough time and or the right kit or space to do this in means progress is painfully slow.

Just the tyres at the moment. They're small, and bloody fiddly to paint!
