Saw these this morning flying over me when I was walking my dog around the streets - on their way to an air show in Kent. Hurricanes I think.

Another magical day on Dartmoor. Son's 18th Birthday weekend. Cooked his favorite meal last night (Seafood Lasagna), Walking on Dartmoor today with Chinese takeaway for dinner. Sunday lunch at a highly regarded Devon pub tomorrow his birthday. Unfortunately as it table service only I won't be able to take him up to the bar and suggest its now his round.

Can't be certain from the angle but the top is definitely a Hurricane, the front one also looks to be a Hurricane and the lower one is definitely a Spitfire.
I saved your picture and zoomed in but can't seem to save the zoomed image.
The giveaway is the wingtips. Hurricane is rounded and Spitfire is more pointed, (elliptical).

The top and bottom ones left and right in the formation) were the same size, the middle one (front one in the formation) was smaller. They made a lovely sound, I heard them long before I saw them. (y)

Yes, top right is Hurricane and bottom right is Spitfire. I'll have another look at the front, (left), one.

After zooming in as close as possible I would say it is a Hurricane, but, due to the light reflection I can't make out the paintwork.

There are at least 9 Hurricanes in the BBMF and I think only 3 Spitfires so it is usual to see more Hurri's than Spits'.

    Let's hope it's not a Fokker.
