Potterton Supreama 40 Problem or is is my boiler normal ?

Dear All,

Thanks for taking the time to read... I have a 2000 Potterton Suprema 40 which has not caused any issues (rare I hear) however since I moved in 2 years ago the boiler fires up every 5-15 mins extracting air through the outside silver bit - non technical term

I have had the boiler serviced by a corgi engineer who has run all the tests and it passes then all and am told this is normal for my boiler to do this... but is it ?

Can anyone offer advise ?

Nope can you direct the cause of this ? coz potterton claim they are not aware of this fault either.

obviously the fufu valve will need some adjustment.

try adjusting it by 80 degrees this should eradicate the need for the outside silver bit.

Assuming for a minute this is genuine, what controls/system do you have and what sort of HW cyl or thermal store do you have?
