hi
I have a basic Mac allister drill that came with 2 batteries.
Are battery’s compatible via the connections as long as the voltage is correct or is each manufacturer unique?
If not! Is there a lookup table somewhere?
Thanks

Pretty much every manufacturer has their own standard for battery mounting. There are a few (very few) exceptions where a one brand has shared battery port designs with a (generally) smaller, more specialised tool maker (e.g. deWalt and Mac Tools) and there's the German Cordless Alliance System. Such link-ups are generally confined to trade-level tools.

Thanks
So de Walt and Mac are compatible? Mac = Mac allister?
Not Macallister, but Mac Tools, a supplier of trade garage equipment (follow the embedded link in my previous post). Macallister is neither trade quality, nor specialist
