Hi All,

What would you say is a reasonable price for supplying + fitting new skirting boards in a room sized 4m x 4m, which contains a chimney breast? The skirting would be made of wood rather than MDF.

Thanks!

Thanks, that's useful.

I was given a price of £275 for a room approx. 4m x 4m - which includes whatever wood the tradesman is proposing to use.

So based on room size, you'd charge would be about £80 for fitting. A decent skirting I'm assuming would cost about £130, so I should probably shop around as it seems he's charging about double what you do!
