What do I do with this? Lifted lino in kitchen to reveal this. Got top tile tested for asbestos thats just come back negative. But now I'm reading that those red tile under the cupboard might be quarry tile?
How do I go about covering this all up without causing issues down the line? There is currently screed underneath the vinyl tile and not sure if that goes straight onto the quarry or if there is another layer of tile and bitumen under there (possibly asbestos) .
Is it okay to just put another layer of screed on top of it all continuing under cupboard or putting a liquid damp proof layer ontop of screed before flooring? Or does the screed and whatevers with it need to come up?

Asbestos tiles are often like brittle thin plastic.
Houses in 60s and 70s had them fitted from new and looked a bit like marble effect sometimes.
Considered low risk.
Often not stuck down very well as I took all mine up in 7 rooms in about an hour. Boxed UK and took to the tip.
Carpet fitters don't worry about them as the nail gripper through and often they shatter at the edges..
Causes great anxiety and fear though so best not damage them.

You need to identify if you have asbestos flooring.
Ask neighbours if they have a known problem.
If not then be sensible but crack on looking for potential risk (low to nothing)
If it was me I'd get looking at what is there as I'd want to know.
Other option is to get a asbestos survey done on your property telling you where the asbestos is if that will help you sleep at night
