Queen

Saw most of it and yes he did do an amazing job. Freddie is a tough act to follow, and we should not expect anyone else to pull it off the way he used to, but there will never be a line up like they used to be.

Do you know who it was on bass as it certainly wasn't John Deacon.

Apparently it was Neil Fairclough. Roger Taylor looked like Tom Jones from the side

John Deacon virtually retired from Queen the day Freddie passed away. AFAIK he only ever played with them 2 or3 times after Freddie's unfortunate demise. He's become a virtual recluse.

I remember an acquaintance of mine, who was a fervent homophobe, remarking he may be a poof, but he's a bloody good performer..... hypocrite!

I enjoyed the performance, not really a huge queen fan, but it was good. Thought the lead singer trod a bit of a narrow path between putting his own spin on it or being a freddie impersonator. All in all a good effort!
