Quote But Not a Quote

Thats pretty good. For me I would want a more evenly spread amount..say

10% Booking

10% Start

Pay for all the boiler when bought

Balance on completion

That way "I" haven't paid nearly half the amount before a hacksaw is unsheathed :)

But in any case your principal is a sound one and if you came recommended I for one wouldn't have a problem with it. Not sure most people appreciate that plumbers etc etc are one or two man small businesses and don't have the huge credit lines that big companies have with merchants.

apart from the occasional corgi website user, all my work comes from word of mouth so my clients are not really bothered with the details.
might as well toot my own horn whilst we are at it.
my installations don't fail, clients know exactly what i am doing and that i will come and check if there are problems years after installation.
no breakdowns this year of any installations i have done, 1 last year where lightning had fried the electronic display.
this way of working has ensured that the recession does effect me very little.

No harm in tooting your own horn. Couple of guys where I live have the same reputation and it gives them full order books year in year out.

I say good on yer....
