I know it’s wrong to criticise how somebody speaks, but I just find Rachel Reeves painful.

I’ve never though much her ability as a chancellor

Accent is a huge part of politician’s acceptability, a good public school accent does wonders for credibility

I agree, I’ve had various salesman work for me over the years, none of them were public school, but they all had cultivated a public school accent. It gives an air of authority. Having seen it in action, it puts me right off.



Look at Rees Mogg, the working class thought he was great despite the fact he was a total phoney and a liar.

I was thinking of Rishy and Chemi, their clear articulate spoken English style must help them cut through to core torey members and voters. Rees Smogg is a different kettle of fish, a street fighter disguised as a gentleman

I feel a bit sorry for the lass, she has tried to put a bit of common sense into the economic situation, we can't just keep on spending money.

Unfortunately the loopy left are taking control and they think if anyone can't be arsed with work they should still be able to live comfortably on generous benefits, we should also allow, welcome and even help in ward migration (build them all a new house and give them a living wage in benefits). And anyone in the public sector should only have to work 4 hours a week (from home) and be on a minimum of a 6 fig salary

and all this could be funded by non doms

Under their plan, non-doms would pay the fee for a new Britannia Card and in return not be taxed on wealth, income or capital gains earned abroad. They would also avoid the need to pay inheritance tax.

Labour should eat the rich rather than feed them, as the Gumby Party intends.
