radaitor with microbore fitting

Shut valve on each end, counting turns on the locksheild end (the end that has to have plastic cap removed) so when re-connecting you know how many turns to open it so it remains balanced.

And please use a 'decorators cap' if the radiator has a thermostatic valve.

Avoids nasty surprises in the morning!

Thanks soggy weetabix for the quick reply but the there is only pipe fitting on one end of rad i.e. both in and out of water supply go to one control hope that i have explained this right

You will have a manual on/off head and beside this should be a screw cap. Undo this then turn screw clockwise to close l/shield part of valve, counting turns again

Well, make sure you re-attach the spreader when you refix the rad.

All will become clear when you remove it.

My apologies gas4you for not thanking you for your help on my first query. but thank you both for your help. as you may have geussed this is my first time to use this system and with helpful people like yourselves i will use it more often and maybe one day i may be of assistance to you both once again thanks very much :D

Your new rad will need to be repiped so that it has a valve on either side as new rads dont take the insertion tube on twin entry valves
