Dear all,

I have a problem with one of my radiator which is really to high i find of the floor and it's a problem for cabinets and all that.

Can the copper pipes that feeds the radiator be cut and adjusted to the required height or not?how can i do that?

Thanks

Ooops, just flooded the house  It's not as simple as just cutting the pipes. Besides a pipe cutter does a better job.

As KP say's more info please. Type of system, size of pipes, height of rad above the floor.

ok thanks for the replies,

The pipes are copper pipes, it's not a new system, i would say about 15 years old. Heigth from the floor is something like 17 cm, diameter of the pipes is around 5 cm. i need to lower it about 1 cm which is not that much.
Is it a nightmare to do it? Don't fancy floading the flat...

Thanks for helping,

you will need to isolate the boiler, drain the system remove the rad ,cut the pipes ,fit new olives ,put it all back

refill and vent

then post back when it wont work

Double check your measurements, most plumbing pipe is either 8-10mm, 15mm or 22mm.
