radiator valve change kit

for use on an open vented system.
stick one in the vent one in the feed and it will create a vacuum in the system.

then use can work on the system without draining.
you'll only loose about a pint of water till the vacuum is created.

On a combi, once the pressure has been released the system will usually vacuum enough to replace a rad valve. same theory as bung kits, if no air gets in, no water gets out.
 
on a combi if you cant use the appliance isolating valves to turn boiler off you need to close any auto air vent before it will vacum up
 
So on a combi ,you need just to make sure all the bleed valves are off,or are you talking about another auto air vent and where would it be,then you can change the rad valves? thanks.

DO you just have to bleed all the rads first.
