Ratchet strap storage

Just if of interest to anyone with this type of ratchet strap having problems keep the ratchet and strap together when stored.

By the way, from what I've watched on YT, the strap hook should be on the outside when coiled up so when throwing over a load, the hook is not on the end to cause damage or hit anyone.

I've always just kept them separate and thrown in a box. Why not try making a velcro band/strap to hold them.
The advice about how to roll them is bang on.
 
I use old inner tube cut into slices to make long lasting bands ( ordinary rubber bands perish quickly)
 
i just use electrical tape
that in its own right can help bind the load together or add protection from rubbing
