We have an old Rayburn Supreme which gets very dirty and sooty over the oven.Lifting the rectangular plate with the big heavy 'fins' on it is proving too much. Recently someone came up with an idea to change this plate for a simple steel plate with no 'fins' on the under side above the firebox.Does anyone know-will this work,will it warp.We don,t cook on the top we only use the oven it is not used for central heating or water it just heats the room.What problems could this cause. AM I IN THE WRONG FORUM!!
