I am in the process of re-wiring the bedside light fittings. There is a small chase in the wall from the loft, I would like to put an individual switch below the light fitting to enable individual switching of the lights. Instead of just adding additional wiring can you use a 3core and E from the loft and run that through the light connection down to the switch
Thanks

You don't need 3-core + E if you are just having the light controlled from a switch below.

Just the supply to the light and cable down to the switch - both twin and earth.

More complicated if you want two lights and two switches where both lights can be operated individually by both switches.
Decide what you want and ask again.
