I'm in the process of buying a house that has been empty for some time, actually a repossesion 
and all gas and water have been shut off professionally, ie there is warning tape stuck across everything.
I need a few pointers on getting it all back running.
The boiler is a fairly modern Vaillant combi but I've not got the model details yet, I would guess it's about 5 years old. I will use a RGI/Corgi to get the gas back on and to check out the boiler (I'm oil qualified not gas)but are there any useful things I can do before that?
