im afraid that maybe the case , they will do it in there schedule ( only going by my experience ) . as you have said, the meter can only go one other place so your rgi can still plan the route and sizes of pipework . if in the extension you are installing new gas appliances , he will need to know where they will be placed, just a suggestion .
