Hey guys, this is really doing my nut in (and i'm no expert...)

I've done this once before but have forgotten how to do it. I'm trying to repressurise my central heating system as i bled some radiators last night. Now the pressure is next to zero...

I've got an Ideal Combi mini boiler (not sure which model number it is.... instructions are for C24/C28/C32/S24/S28). Anyway, i'm aware i need to turn the screws at both ends of the filling loops but i've tried that & it just turns the filling loop in circles!

Help, please! Please ask any q's if i've not covered it all.

Thanks very much.... sorted now!

for my info (if i search myself in a years time...)

TURN THE SCREWEY BIT THAT STICKS OUT IN THE MIDDLE YOU MUPPET!

;)

Maybe it's just my eyes, but it looks like there's a small amount of water around the top of the left hand isolation valve. As you say 'the whole filling loop was spinning round', my guess is that you already tried to turn the top nut that you should have left alone.

If it is indeed leaking, you may need to use a spanner/grips to hold the valve body and then, with another spanner, turn the top nut clockwise to tighten it up and create a good seal.

Yes, it did drip leak for a few mins but i think i tightened it up again (and cleaned/dried the area). I'm going to be checking it in a bit to make sure it's still dry. Thanks for pointing it out though :)
