Refugees without ID documentation

The UK has a proud history of providing protection for those who genuinely need it through our safe and legal routes.

Since 2015, we have offered a safe and legal route to the UK to almost half a million men, women and children seeking safety, as well as family members of refugees. In fact, the UK is one of the largest recipients of UNHCR referred refugees globally, second only to Sweden in Europe since 2015.

Fancy that. Some people would have you believe there are no safe and legal routes, almost half a million eh?

There aren't for the boat people. You would think they don't want to fix it.

That data is either well out-of-date, carefully crafted form hosts of other data, or just plain incorrect. The 'almost half a million' is small beer compared to other countries:
3.4 million
hosted in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Türkiye

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Türkiye each hosted 3.4 million refugees, the largest populations worldwide. Germany was third with 2.5 million, followed by Colombia with slightly less than 2.5 million, including other people in need of international protection. Pakistan hosted 2.1 million refugees.

We are a small country compared to others. Could it be that your a liberal lefty loonie remoaner??

You could read the date on the link. Not out of date, nor incorrect. I’m sure the immigration policy experts useful idiots are aware, but it doesn’t help with the lobbying.

Or isn't aligned with your misinformed opinion.

Then it's carefully crafted bit of data to single out the one item that shows UK in a good light, because all the other data shows tha poor performance of UK on that issue.
Just like Motties' usual questions: "how many widgets not available in your local supermarket, with a car park for 100 vehicles, on a Sunday morning in February, down aisle 3, on the left hand side, loaded by Doris during the night shift, at reduced prices, etc?"

We can all produce precise performance indicators that show how well we're doing, meanwhile ignoring loads of other performance indicators that show how poorly we're doing.

Another well crafted argument: "Because you're a leftie, you're wrong".

Government websites are just a propaganda outlet now, no better than the lies in the Telegraph or Daily Mail.

government has a “proud” recent history of preventing vulnerable people from countries of known persecution or war

No routes available for people who need asylum from:

Syria
Eritrea
Afghanistan
Iran
Iraq
Yemen

It’s bullsh1t

It includes in that 500,000 (which is actually 481,000)

153,000 British National Overseas
234,000 Ukrainians

so let’s take that off and we see the U.K. has “offered” places to 100,000 over a 8 years period

So the UK has a proud history of offering 12,000 places per year

So the U.K. has a proud history of denying any realistic safe routes for people from: Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq

If you don’t want them coming here, which country do you think should take more?

Is that a long way of saying it isn’t aligned, your made version of the facts.

if you read it, you will see that there are safe routes for many on your list.
