Refurbishing my first house

You ripping that out and popping in a wood burner.
Yes, most likely it will need a new flue liner, at least the stack is solid. I´m on a smoke control zone, and fancy a double sided wood burner, have to measure and start looking around.

The timber beam is not bearing the joists for a few mm, the plasterboard ceiling and some brick slices are bearing the load on the other side:
