Any Broag experts about? I've a Remeha Avanta 39c combi and getting the E10 error when switching on the boiler.

I've had a gas engineer around and looking at the manual the error code relates to; air in the system, water circulation problems or water pressure.

- The pump was struggling, old and getting hot so this was replaced and it's now working fine.
- Checked flow/return sensors and water pressure switch, all fine.
- Bled and vented the system through rads, pump bleed valve, forced via filling loop etc. Automatic air vents working fine. I'm confident it's not that.
- Ran boiler at 1 - 1.5 bar so pressure fine.
- A vac has been used to force/suck any blockages in the combi pipework. There is no obvious sludge, water runs clear and any forced air can be felt at the opposite end. Radiator pipe work runs clear.

On switching the power on, the boiler goes through a 3 minute venting cycle. It then starts the pre-purge (fan starts, gas ignition and blue flame) but conks out after 10 seconds and E10 error shut down. The display doesn't show 1, 2 etc on the pre-purge stage.

1) Is there any way to bypass the venting cycle and go straight to pre-purge? Waiting 3 mins on every reset whilst working on the combi is tedious.

2) What else could the fault be?
Engineer can only suggest a pcb failure and replace. Could the diverter valve or flow switch cause this problem (it's been inspected but not changed)?

Thanks

Not a Broag Remeha expert, but looking in the mi’s, could be wrong pump wiring? @gas112 May know as these are part of the Baxi group.

Thanks for the reply - it was a new pump with the wiring already connected to the push fit terminal and inside the pump head casing. I double checked before it was fitted to make sure it matched with the existing/original pump as the 39c needs a slightly more powerful pump compared to the lower kwh models.

If it’s doing it straight away, could the flow isolation valve be closed?
