I have a leaking tap connector which I want to remove and replace. However, it has been completely covered in leak repair putty (and I mean covered) right to the base of the tap and a good four inches down the pipe.

Can anyone tell me the best way to remove this? Simply chisel away carefully? A pretty basic question I know, but someone may have some good tips.

Thank you,

Nick

If you can reach it??
If not, heat it gently with a blowlamp and it'll soften. Then a wood chisel...
