Hi,
I was hoping for some advice about making good after a rewire. The electricians have left repair work for me in a number of places
1. Chases into lime plaster on solid brick.
2. Lime plaster on lath stud walls
3. Sockets in insulated board

For the chases I was going to just use a renovating plaster, bring it flush and sand it, easy enough I imagine.
The lath walls seem more difficult, they have sprayed foam in and told me to plaster over it, but, the foam is flexible?? They've broken a number of paths as well....is that the right approach ?

The plasterboard has a gap between the sockets, I was just going to no more nails some offcuts of plasterboard to the wall and try and skim with polyfilla, worried about how firm it will be with ppl pushing and pulling plugs.

Any ideas ?

For the expanding foam bits, maybe trim it back using a utility knife and filler over the top?

For the gap between sockets, maybe try a slither of timber and plasterboard and skim?

Yeah, that's what the electrician said do, I was just concerned how secure the plaster will be on top of foam that is soft.
Frustrating with the plasterboard areas, they've just been skimmed !!! Can't believe they plasterer needed to punch such massive holes around the sockets.... totally unnecessary

Image 1, use Toupret TX110 filler. Fill flush with the back plates and then top up as required.

Expanding foam areas, use your fingernail to remove a cm or so, then use TX110 over the top.

TX110 sets faster than than the regular Toupret filler because it is cement based.
