I am a 'lapsed electrician' but I have been informed that to replace an existing fan in a bathroom (with an identical ICON15) I need to have a part 'P' cert. Is this true? This is not a new install in a bathroom.

Not true.

However, if you alter the characteristics of the circuit it is notifiable to the Local Authority Building Control - one way or the other.

Thank you EFL.

Are you an electrician? Are you based in Bournemouth?
We are looking for a qualified person for some small electrical maintenance work in Bournemouth? Would you fit the bill?
