They exist, but will cost considerably more and won't last for 10 years either (the CO sensors have a relatively short lifespan).

How many gas appliances do you have, and what type are they?

At the moment just the gas combi-boiler thats in the integral garage which is directly under a bedroom

Thought you were supposed to install two seperate detectors, as smoke is hot and rises so the detectors need to be on the ceiling, and CO is dense and doesn't rise or rise as much so the detector should be lower down?

With only 1 gas appliance, there is no point in having CO alarms in any of the other rooms.
A sensible solution would be a separate CO alarm and a heat alarm in the garage, with smoke alarms in the other rooms. All linked together.

CO is about the same density as air, so it will generally disperse through the air rather than rising or sinking. However as integral garages should be sealed from the rest of the building, CO shouldn't be getting anywhere near the other rooms.
If the boiler is a room sealed type (most/all new ones will be), it is virtually impossible for CO to leak into the room anyway.

Another point about CO detectors - if anyone has those cards with a patch in the centre which turns black, then throw them away. They are useless, since by the time enough CO has leaked out to change the colour of the sensor, the occupants are already dead from CO poisoning.

Boiler is a valiant eco tech combi , il just swap old ones for some news ones then, hopefully they will be the same size, don't fancy painting the ceilings again.cheers
