Hi I have tried to replace a 1 way light switch with an intermediate switch. I think I've bought the wrong type of switch. However is there anyway to get it to work? The wiring is 1 red and 1 black cable. So far I've put the red into L1 and the black into L2 but it doesn't work. Is there any other way to wire this? the swithc has L1 to L4.

Thanks in advance.

1 & 3 or 1 & 4 or 2 & 3 or 2 & 4 will work. You will need (depending on which one you chose) to possibly rotate the lightswitch round 180degrees.

1&2 or 3&4 won't work I'm afraid.

Hi Dan,

Excellent! 1 and 4 did the trick. Thanks for your help mate.
