We are currently updating the bathroom, (moving the sink and toilet, but leaving bath, and a retile). The shower we have works fine, but i'm not keen on the look of it, the controls are also a little high.

Picture here:
There is shower pump in the loft (above the tank so negative head), which is also working fine. I want to get a shower with a diverter (so two outlets - one attached to the wall and one free) so first thing is i need to change the pipes (no issue with chasing them in i suppose in conduit then cement?). The biggest problem for me is the switch, which is currently in the actual mixer itself (if i take the reed out of the housing then the shower pump runs, and stops if i hold a magnet against it)

How do i go about changing the switch - can i get a cheap water flow switch off e-bay and then put it in the cold feed in the loft?

Thanks

The same shower showing internals is mentioned here: https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/what-to-do-about-leaking-shower-mixer.185247/

If the pump in the loft is standalone and not branded with the shower unit, then you can get whatever shower you want... my advice would be a surface bar shower with an overhead rain and a handheld wand with the manual diverter part of the bar valve controls.

If it's all an integral brand with the flow switch in the shower controls then you need to replace with a compatible unit.
Make and model of both would help us to help you!
