My son and let out a flat, which is managed by a local estate agent. We had a call to say that the bathroom sink hot tap 'wasn't working'; I went to have a look to see what that meant and found that the tap could be turned very slightly but only by applying A LOT of effort and then just a trickle of water came out.
Not being a plumber I instructed the agent to ask a plumber to look at it.
Anyway we recently got a copy of the bill for 'replacing a tap insert', for
£80 plus VAT; this seems excessive to me as I thought this was a
simple job with minimal parts costs.
But am I out of touch? What do you think?
Location is near Manchester.
Thanks in anticipation of your feedback.
