Replacing electric oven element (Sharp k60d22bm1en) (Ed.)

My Oven element perished so I ordered a new one and fitted it but got confused with 2 wires. The black and white wire seen below.

With the current connection when turned into fan oven the inner element heats up and glows red but if I swap the black and white connection around the outer element heats up and the middle doesn’t. If I turn the oven to grill all of the element glows red so leads me to believe on fan oven the whole element isn’t suppose to heat up which leads me as to which part of the element is suppose to heat when on fan oven?

This user guide https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1348273/Sharp-K-60d22bm1-En.html?page=12#manual suggests that when on grill the inner element should heat up and when on faster grill both should. Read the manual and see if you can check how it should work in other functions ie oven or fan oven.
