Replacing flourescent tubes

Hi,

I want to replace my eight foot flourescent tubes that are fitted at work ( as they don't make 'em any more) with smaller five foot units .
At present there are three single tube fittings arranged in a U shape with two units running off 1 switch and one switch running the other unit.

The question is how many tubes can I run off each circuit (i'm presuming the tubes "daisy chain" one to another)?

Do you have the appropriate liability insurance to carry out this work in a business premises?

The tubes I use are daylight corrected, the last time I ordered some I was told that they are no longer being produced hence the interest in changing them (plus it's a pain storing spare tubes)

At this stage I'm just trying to get some info before calling in an electrician for a quote, though if I did decide to do the work myself would i need liabilty insurance?

You missed off 85W from your list

You can still get daylight 8' tubes, but their price is now silly expensive.

Replacing the 8' fittings for 6' fittings is the way forward.
