Ok so I have to replace all the joist above one room on a stone house. There is a small partition wall above which needs to stay. the current joist are spaced 400mm apart and I need to put the new ones in 300mm apart. Any tips on this? Whats the best way to put a full length joist into a stone wall? Any ideas about steel torsels/footings for the joists? any ideas about building regs for this type of work? cheers for any help
