Hello all
Can anyone advise as to the best way to replace skirting bords. I have read that no more nails seems to work best, then use a filler between the wall and skirting. Any tips on how to align the joints? is it just a case of jigsawing them together?
many thanks

See this to help you.
Normally we cut a 45 degree mitre, so as you enter the room the mitre joint should be further away from you on the front of the skirting board.

Better still if you can avoid the cutting and joining, use the right length in one piece, more money this way though.
