Interesting comment from your two-year old link SirGalahad:
We feel now we’re in a good position in terms of scaling. ... It’s hard to imagine a scenario that would result in a more popular petition but should it ever arise, we’ll be ready.
That was two years ago!

Due go the slowness of the website, signatures have only reached 800 thousand so far

Either they are rank amateurs or they bid low to get the contract and stuff the consequences.

Such a simple website and the Gov balls up, exactly why the EU needed the backstop.

The IT systems dont even exist to what the Dumbo ERG propose and on top you want this Gov to implement it.

It's going up by about 400 per minute:

It looks like it's well on course for about 100,000 in about three hours!

A rate of about 1,000 per minute!

1,000,000 you mean
We're at cross purposes, but both are true.
I was referring to your earlier comment, just before 12.00 when it was about 800,000, it's now well past 900,000, about 2 hours later.
And yes, it looks like it will reach 1,000,000 in under two hours time.
